Le vélo-rail de Jeongseon Auraji est un nouveau type de sport de loisir qui combine vélo le long d'un chemin de fer et des vues panoramiques. vélo Rail on trouve couramment dans les régions montagneuses de l'Europe. Le sport fait usage d'une voie ferrée abandonnée qui va de Jeongseon Auraji à Gujeol-ri. Le parcours total est de 7,2 kilomètres de long et une descente continue qui est facile à monter le long des eaux propres et la vallée de pourpre feuillage rouge.

Memilchon Makguksu (메밀촌막국수)

Memilchon Makguksu gained public attention for its delicious gondeure bap (thistle rice) and makguksu (buckwheat noodles) after appearing in the television show "Wednesday Food Talk." The restaurant has even earned patents for their original recipes of certain dishes. The most popular menu item is Gondeure Set Menu, which includes a thistle hot pot rice served along with a variety of side dishes. The buckwheat noodles served at this restaurant offers a refreshing taste that can only be encountered in Gangwon. The restaurant may run out of ingredients and close early during vacation season, so visitors are advised to call and check for availability in advance. Drivers can use the public parking lot across from the restaurant.

Yukbaek Majigi à Pyeongchang (평창 육백마지기)

Situé à Mitan-myeon, dans le comté de Pyeongchang, Yukbaek Majigi sur le mont Cheongoksan tire son nom d’une expression désignant une vaste plaine où l’on pourrait semer jusqu’à six cent mal de riz (une ancienne unité de mesure coréenne). Équivalente à environ six terrains de football, cette grande prairie est aujourd’hui l’un des sites incontournables d’un séjour à Pyeongchang.

Facilement accessible en voiture, Yukbaek Majigi est devenu une destination touristique prisée, nichée au sommet de la montagne. En gravissant la route de montagne, on aperçoit bientôt les lignes de crête ornées d’éoliennes géantes. Celles-ci tournent lentement sous un ciel dégagé, créant un paysage aussi paisible que pittoresque.

La période la plus spectaculaire s’étend de juin à juillet, lorsque la prairie est recouverte de shasta daisies en pleine floraison, surnommées localement « fleurs œuf au plat » pour leur apparence singulière. Le site abrite également plusieurs zones photo très appréciées, comme une chaise arc-en-ciel avec vue sur les crêtes et une sculpture en forme de petit château.
