Dans les années 1830, Andong comptait plusieurs marchés ouverts durant 5 jours dans la semaine.

Parmi ces marchés, le marché ouvert durant les jours finissant par 2 et 7 à Bunae rencontrait un grand succès en 1909. Ce marché proposait des produits frais, du poisson, des spécialités lcoales comme du soju de Andong. Le marché fut jummelé avec le marché Sindang en 1963 pour devenir le marché principal de Andong.
