The beach is located in Songjeong-dong with white sand, a length of 700 meters, and an area of 25,000㎡. The surrounding area is famous for its pine forests. It is said that when Choi Mun-han, the wife of King Chungsuk of Goryeo, came to Gangneung from Songdo, he brought 8 pine trees and planted them here. There is also the world's largest Charmsori Gramophone and Audio Museum, making it a great place to enjoy the summer and music. Anmokhaebyeon Beach spans over 500 meters in length and covers an area of 20,000 square meters. The beach is often packed with families on vacation. Right in front of the beach is Anmokhang Port, where around 23 fishing boats can be moored to unload their catch throughout the year. The place has also become more popular since the main street along the beach earned the reputation as a "coffee street."

To the north across the bridge, visitors can find the Gangneunghang Port Yacht Marina and the Gangneung Coffee Street.
