The Hangwa Culture Museum is the first museum in Korea to have a theme centered on traditional Korean sweets. Its first floor exhibits the history of hangwa, tools used to make it, and the various types (Yakgwa, Yugwa, Yumilgwa, Jeongwa, Dasik, and Gangjeong), while the second floor offers seasonal hangwa, hangwa with tea, hangwa areas in Pocheon, information from hangwa experts, and tourism information on Pocheon. The education center runs colorful hands-on programs offering visitors an opportunity to make hangwa and also learn about traditional tea culture.

Pyunggang Botanical Garden (평강식물원)

Located at the entrance of Sanjeonghosu Lake, Pyunggang Botanical Garden opened in May 2006, and was designated as a habitat for preservation by the Ministry of Environment in 2009. The garden has on exhibit both native plants and species of plants from around the globe. Additionally, the garden features an exquisite collection of over 1,000 different alpine plants that normally reside on an altitude of 2,500 meters.

The scope of the garden is comprehensive, but it is divided into 12 themed areas, including a Rock Garden, where the largest alpine plants in Asia are concentrated; a Wetland Center, which mimics the natural ecology of a wetland region; a Pond Garden consisting of roughly 50 ponds lined with gorgeous flowers; a Moss Center where moss that grows in deep valleys and forests can be seen; and a Grass Square, which serves as a green common year round. The Pyunggang Botanical Garden, serves an important role in preserving rare plants, but is also creating a new botanical garden culture, and serving as a center for public ecological education.

Bokjusan National Recreational Forest (국립 복주산자연휴양림)

Bokjusan National Recreational Forest was officially designated as a national recreational forest in 1998. It is a home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, as well as numerous recreational facilities including two hiking routes (2.5 ㎞ and 1.5 ㎞) to the Bokjusan Mountain summit, Forest Recreation Center equipped with 10 guest rooms, and a campground.

Just 15 minutes by car from the forest is Maewoldae, where Joseon dynasty scholar and author Kim Si-Seup lived in seclusion. Maewoldae is surrounded by a lush forest with a deep valley, and also offers a magnificent view of Seonampokpo Falls at the foot of the mountain standing across. At the entrance of Maewoldae is the Cheongseokgol Outdoor Studio, where popular Korean TV dramas such as "Im KkokJong (1996)" and "Damo (2003)" were filmed.

Jomurakgyegok Valley (조무락계곡)

Jomurakgyegok Valley's river flows between Seongnyongsan Mountain, Jeongmok-ri, Buk-myeon and Jungbong Peak of Hwaaksan Mountain in Buk-myeon.
The water runoff from the two mountains flows into Jomurakgol Valley. Jomurakgyegok Valley and Domacheon Stream (from Sampal-gyo Bridge and Kookmangbong Peak) flow into Gapyeongcheon Stream.
The valley's name means to watch birds sing and dance, and calls to mind the phrase 'Jomuljomul,' which means the shape of touching something with small hands.

Saruru Farm (사르르목장)

Saruru Farm is a café known for its bright and neat atmosphere, with large windows providing views of rice fields and farms. The café's signature menu items include homemade soft ice cream made from Pocheon ranch's fresh milk and homemade kaymak. They also offer unique ice cream topped with Korean-style toppings like konggomul (roasted soybean powder).

Hwacheon Tomato Festival (화천토마토축제)

The Hwacheon Tomato Festival is held annually over four consecutive days in August in the area of Culture Village in Sanae-myeon, Hwacheon-gun. Starting off with a pre-event on the eve of the opening, it is followed by various exhibitions, hands-on programs, performances including tables with seating for one thousand people, finding a tomato gold ring, let’s play with tomato, tomato summer festival, tomato soccer, children’s swimming pool, and other varied programs related to tomatoes. Tomato sales and other programs will give excitement to every visitor.

Sambuyeonpokpo Falls, among the nine scenic spots in Cheorwon, is a three-tiered waterfall standing at approximately 20 meters high, situated in the granite area of Myeongseongsan Mountain. This natural wonder was formed by water flowing over an extended period subsequent to the exposure of granite intrusion from the Mesozoic Cretaceous period, estimated to be around 110 million years ago. The name "Sambuyeon" originates from the distinctive three bends in the water stream and the lower part of the waterfall's resemblance to a cauldron.

The restaurant is known for pairing its makguksu with nokdu bindaetteok (mung bean pancake) and pyeonyuk (boiled pork slices), creating a harmonious trio that is often ordered together. Their mul makguksu features buckwheat noodles in a deep and cool broth, delivering a rich flavor without being overwhelming. The noodles are both chewy and tender, striking a perfect balance. Additionally, the dish is garnished with sweet-and-sour musaengchae (julienne radish fresh salad), adding a savory and clean note.

Ildong Jaeil Yuhwang Oncheon (일동제일유황온천)

The Ildong Jaeil Oncheon is situated in the hot springs region of Pocheon-gun. Many visitors from the Seoul and Gyeongin areas come for the high-quality water that comes from the hot springs located 800~1000 meters underground. Visitors to the Ildong hot springs region also enjoy the famous Idong galbi (grilled meat), visit the nearby Baekunsan, Gwangdeoksan, Cheonggyesan, and Unaksan Mountain ranges and also visit Nasan Golf Course and Ildong Lake. The Ildong Jaeil Oncheon’s hot springs water are known to be effective in treating rheumatism, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, neuralgia, women’s diseases, arthritis, and various skin ailments.

Seungilgyo Bridge (승일교)

Seungilgyo Bridge is unique in that it was jointly built by South and North Korea. The construction began when the land belonged to North Korea, but after the Armstice Agreement the land was given to the South, who then complete the bridge. The bridge was designated as a Registerd Cultural Property No. 26 on May 31, 2002.
