Spanning 196 hectares, Halla Ecological (Eco) Forest is home to 288,000 trees representing 333 indigenous plant species. Having been designated as a conservation area, the forest provides plenty of great opportunities to observe and learn about Jeju's diversified ecosystem through various facilities including an observatory, plant nurseries, walking trails, and more. The forest also features 13 themed forests with low-impact facilities to preserve the essence of the forest. Opened in 2006, Donsadon specializes in grilled Jeju heukdwaeji (black pork) and has become so popular that visitors often line up to dine. The restaurant's signature dish is heuk dwaeji gui (grilled black pork). Another offering on the menu is kimchi jjigae. As staff members grill the meat at the table, patrons can enjoy their meals in an easy and comfortable setting. An interesting feature of Donsadon is its use of briquette fire instead of charcoal fire, which imbues the meat with a distinctive smoky scent.

Geum Parasitic Cone (금오름)

Geum Parasitic Cone is one of the most famous parasitic cones in the western mountainous region of Jeju. It is a satellite volcanic edifice that has a large circular crater (52 meters deep) and a crater at the summit, and the two peaks in the south and the north are connected by a low slope from east to west. The crater at the summit once held an abundant volume of water but it is now empty. The name Geum Parasitic Cone is speculated to have derived from an archaic word "Gom," which means "god." Therefore, it can be interpreted that this parasitic cone has been deified since the ancient times. Pines, cedars, briers, bo trees and Oriental photinia can be found near the circular crater and the lake area.
