Templo Doseonsa en Seúl (도선사(서울))

El Templo Doseonsa se fundó hace unos 1.100 años, durante la última parte del Reino de Silla, cuando el renombrado sacerdote budista Doseonguksa viajaba por las montañas. Tras visitar el lugar, Doseonguksa pronunció una profecía que condujo a la construcción del templo. Según la leyenda, utilizó únicamente su bastón para tallar el gran Bodhisattva que se asienta en el templo. Curiosamente, la estatua no muestra ninguna señal de cincel, lo que aumenta el misterio de su elaboración. Durante el séptimo año del rey Gwangmu de la dinastía Joseon, el Templo Doseonsa fue nombrado oficialmente templo representativo de Corea con el propósito de promover el movimiento budista coreano de Cheongdamdaejongsa, buscando un renacimiento religioso. Gracias a estas circunstancias especiales, el Templo Deseonsa se ganó una gran reputación y un gran reconocimiento, que se han mantenido firmes hasta nuestros días.

Dentro del templo, los visitantes pueden contemplar los restos y las obras escritas de Cheongdamdaejongsa en el Salón Conmemorativo de Cheongdamdaejongsa. Junto al camino que conduce al Salón Cheonbuljeon hay un estanque donde se puede lanzar una moneda y pedir un deseo, y justo después de la Puerta Yongammun hay una ruta de senderismo que conecta el acantilado Baegundae con el pico Insubong. Dentro del Salón Ksitigarbha se encuentran los retratos del antiguo presidente Park Chung-hee y otras personalidades. Frente al salón hay un árbol que, según se dice, fue plantado por un sacerdote budista que lo trajo de la India hace 200 años. Se pueden encontrar objetos históricos por todo el templo.
