El Centro Internacional de Taekwondo Kukkiwon, localizado en Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seúl, fue fundado en 1972. Al año siguiente se llevó a cabo el primer Mundial de Taekwondo, entre el 25 y el 27 de mayo en 1973. El 28 de mayo de ese año, fue establecida la Federación Mundial de Taekwondo. La promoción y las concesiones fueron repartidas en el 5 de febrero del año 1980, y el 10 de julio del mismo año, el sistema del entrenamiento de la dirección entró en efecto. El área mide 13.025 m². El Sendero Forestal de la Línea Gyeongui, también llamado Yeontral Park, es un parque urbano lineal situado en el distrito de Mapo-gu de Seúl. Los tramos se inauguraron en el siguiente orden: Daeheung-dong, Saechanggogae, Changjeon-dong, Sinsu-dong y Wonhyo-ro. El parque está formado sobre las antiguas vías de ferrocarril de la línea Gyeongui, y en su subsuelo corren las actuales líneas de metro y ferrocarril Gyeongui-Jungang y el Ferrocarril del Aeropuerto. El parque fue diseñado de forma incompleta para que pueda ser completado por los ciudadanos. Es muy significativo que los espacios que pudieron haber quedado en blanco hayan sido llenados por espacios verdes y parques gracias a la participación de los ciudadanos.

Parque de la Historia de Seosomun (서소문역사공원)

El área de la puerta Seosomun fue un lugar de persecución religiosa en el siglo XIX, antes de convertirse en el parque local actual. Muchos católicos fueron reprimidos y martirizados aquí, convirtiendo este lugar en un sitio sagrado para los catolicos coreanos. Seosomun era una puerta de entrada al mercado Chilpae, ubicado cerca de la puerta Sungnyemun (Namdaemun).
