Cheonhwang Sikdang opened in 1927 in the area of Jungang Market in downtown Jinju. Since then, the restaurant has passed down through three generations. The resaurant's traditional exterior harmonizes well with the menus served, including the regional speciality of Jinju bibimbap. Nambu Agutang is a famous restaurant for specializing in preparing blackmouth goosefish in Iksan.
Although the exterior seems a bit run down, the interior is neatly organized.

Thus, you will find great service and of course, the taste of food is superb without a doubt.
For the past seven years, the prices for dishes have not changed even with inflation, and the owner even donates a portion of the profits the community and the less fortunate.

It is prepared by simmering high quality yellow dried pollack until it is all white and milky. It is good as a meal when you have a hangover.

Located near the national highway, Cheonji Garden is a family operated restaurant.
With a folk and country style atmosphere, it mainly serves regional traditional dishes like ‘dotorimuk malim’ (dried acorn starch jelly) and ‘cheongtae jaban’ (a mixture of sea plants and other ingredients).
In fact, the grandmother of this family restaurant herself developed some of these dishes.
Cheonji Garden also has a spacious parking lot and great surroundings.

Hamheung Myeonok is a family operated business for three generations mainly serving ‘naengmyeon’ (cold noodles) and ‘galbi’ (grilled ribs).
A well-known place in Yeongju, Hamheung Myeonok offers the second floor especially for groups.
Cleanliness and hygiene are most emphasized by the owner.
Hand kneaded cold noodles are extra chewy and their North Korean style ‘bulgogi’ (marinated barbeque beef) are quite famous.
Also, try their ‘galbi Jjim’ (marinated and simmered ribs) which is combined with Korean herbal medicine providing a healthy dining choice for visitors.
Excellent service, atmosphere and food.
Overall a superb restaurant.
