Samseonam Rocks [National Geopark] (삼선암 (울릉도, 독도 국가지질공원))

Samseonam Rocks is comprised of three rock pillars off the northern coast of beautiful Ulleungdo Island. The sea stacks were formed by waves breaking down a block of columner joints over time, leaving the three remaing stacks behind. The sides of the stacks are dotted with many holes, resembling honeycomb. The rocks name, meaning "Three Hevenly Maiden Rocks," comes from a myth that three heavenly maidens were so enraptured by the beauty of Ulleungdo that they missed their curfew to return to heaven and were thereby punished by being turned to stone.

Euljiro Nogari Alley (을지로 노가리골목)

Going out of Exit 3 of Euljiro 3-ga Station on Seoul Metro Line 3 and turning to the alley, you will find many pubs selling Nogari/Dried Young Pollack (Korean people grill and dip it in red pepper paste to eat as a side dish with alcohol) and restaurants specializing in Golbaengi/Sea Snails (It is a kind of conch shell, and Korea people made it a seasoned dish and enjoy it with Somyeon/Thin Noodles or use it as a bar sack). People gather in small groups at every outdoor table and sit in every alley to enjoy beer and snacks on weekday evenings and weekends, so it isn't easy to find a seat.
Originally, this area was lined with various company buildings and shops selling tools. However, in 1980, the pub 'Eulji OB Bear' opened, and as similar pubs opened nearby, it naturally came to be called 'Euljiro Nogari Alley.' As the affordable prices of snacks and beer attracted nearby office workers and college students, it has become increasingly popular, leading to its current status.
Here, along with a cold draft beer, let's try the K-snacks only available in Korea, such as Nogari/Dried Young Pollack and Golbaengi/Sea Snails. In addition, snacks such as chicken and fried dishes are also available, so try various snacks.

Dongtan Central Park (동탄센트럴파크)

Dongtan Central Park is a sports facility and park in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do. Completed in 2008, the facility has a variety of sports amenities and equipment as well as a recreational area for the public to enjoy light exercises in the park. The sports field at the center of the park is the largest of its kind in Korea, comprising a soccer field, futsal field, Gateball court, tennis court, inline skating trail, basketball court, climbing wall, and much more. Suwon Chicken Street, located in a small 100 m-long alley on Paldal-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon, is where about 11 stores, ranging from the original store that opened in 1970 to new ones, serve fried whole chicken. It is the tradition of Suwon Chicken Street to pour oil into a large cauldron and fry chicken. The menu only consists of fried chicken and seasoned fried chicken, but they are gaining popularity for their savory taste, different from those of famous chicken brands. In Suwon Chicken Street, you can meet the granny of “Maehyang Tongdak,” who has been selling fried chicken in Suwon Chicken Street since the 1970s using the chicken she raised in a chicken coop on a stall, as well as the famous “Yongseong Tongdak" and “Jinmi Tongdak" in this alley. The chicken price is low, so you don't have to worry about it. Thanks to plentiful servings and unique taste, the shops on this street are crowded with customers from all over the country, including students, who come having heard of the place by word of mouth.

Icheon Doniul (Dori-ri) Village in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, is a typical farm village located on a plain field between Wonducheon Stream and Yanghwacheon Village. Dori-ri Village is a prestigious village where the culture of the Samhan period is still passed down. The rice cultivation is part of the culture that has been passed down since the Samhan period. The name "Doniul" is derived from the nearby Sodonibong Peak. The word "doni" means a wide field with wetlands. The village is made up of approximately 100 households with 303 villagers. It is also known as a village of longevity as many of the residents are over 100 years old. The village is the producer of the famous Icheon rice for the king. The village is located approximately 12 kilometers from Icheon downtown, which can be reached in an hour from Dong Seoul Bus Terminal.

Miinpokpo Falls (삼척 미인폭포)

Miinpokpo Falls, located near Taebaek-si, has various size waterfalls from small to large. There's a sad legend on why the waterfall got its name. There is a tomb of a beautiful woman near the waterfall, who jumped to her death after losing two husbands through early death. There's also a valley that's called the Grand Canyon of Korea nearby. It takes approximately 15 minutes to get to the fall from Yeoraesa Temple parking lot on foot through 300 meters of trekking.

Baegunhosu Lake is an artificial lake that was completed in 1953. The lake is surrounded by mountains made up of Cheonggyesan Mountain in the northeast, Baegunsan Mountain in the southeast, and Moraksan Mountain in the west. The lake encompasses an area of 363,638 m². This lake was originally built to provide irrigation for nearby farmlands but it became a public recreational space due to its scenic landscape, fresh air, and spacious lot perfect for parking. Visitors to Beagunhosu Lake can enjoy music at a live cafe or water activities such as motor boating, as well as delicious foods from nearby restaurants.
