This park was created in 2003 to commemorate the February 28 Student Democratic Uprising in 1960 on the site of Jungang Elementary School. It is a place that contains the pain of Daegu's history from the February 28 Uprising to the March 15 Uprising and the April 19 Revolution, but now it has become a peaceful and pleasant resting place in the city center. Thanks to the cool fountain and the shade created by the beautiful trees, it is established as a park that anyone can visit comfortably, regardless of age or gender. Furthermore, there are various amenities such as a walking trail, stream, and central fountain plaza, as well as many famous restaurants nearby, serving as a convenient public area to the citizens of Daegu throughout the year.

Yeosu Port is the second fishing port of Korea. The port has an ideal environment for fishing, such as a large harbor and deep waters with many islands that form a natural breakwater. The port also acts as a tourist port for sightseeing Odongdo Island, Geumodo Island, and other nearby islands. With Jasan Park as a center point, a relatively new port called Bukhang Port is located to the north and an old port named Namhang Port is located to the southwest. The port area is lined with restaurants and a fisheries market that offer fresh seafood.

Chowon Ranch, which started milking with two cows in 1979, built Jirisan Cheese Land, an experience ranch, in 2012 to introduce the dairy industry and milk to more people based on its 30 years of experience. Jirisan Cheese Land distributes homemade cheese and yogurt, and at the experience center, you can experience making mozzarella cheese, feeding calves, and riding a grass sleigh. Over 130 dairy cows are grazing in the green meadow pasture, and the lake is adjacent to it, creating beautiful scenery. The specialty of Jirisan Cheese Land is nature. The dazzling greenery and fragrance of scenery, flowers, and grass are the special features.

House of Yu Gibang was built in the early 1900s and measures 4,770㎡. As a valuable historical asset, it was designated as a Chungcheongnam-do Folk Culture Heritage on October 31, 2005. The house faces south on a low mountain with a thick pine forest background. A courtyard is at the center of the house, created by the straight line-shaped anchae to the north, the haengnangchae to the west, and a chat room with anchae to the east. Initially, there was a middle gate in front of the anchae, but it was demolished in 1988 and replaced with a pavilion-shaped gate as seen now.

UN Sculpture Park is located next to the UN Memorial Cemetery where the souls of UN soldiers who served in the Korean War rest in peace. The sculpture park exhibits 34 pieces of artworks created and donated by sculptors from 21 nations who provided support in the Korean War. These sculptures were created as a part of UN Memorial Park International Sculpture Symposium (September 15-30, 2000) that commemorated the 50th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War in honor of those who fought in the war. The UN Sculpture Park had its opening ceremony on October 24, 2001.

 

Gyeongju Yangnam Columnar Joint Observatory (경주 양남 주상절리 전망대)

This observatory was built in October 2017 and allows visitors to enjoy the view of columnar joints of Yangnam, a national geopark. The columnar joints are formed along the shoreline of Eupcheon-ri in Yangnam-myeon. Several different forms of columnar joints can be observed from columnar joints that point upward to those that fan out or lean to the side. In particular, the fan-shaped columnar joint is a rare sight not only in Korea but also worldwide, and thus has been designated as a Natural Monument in 2012. Visitors can also see informational exhibits on diverse geographical resources at the observatory as well as ask for a detailed guide by the geology commentator on-site.

Bieung Port is the starting point of Saemangeum Embankment which is at the entrance of the Saemangeum tourist area. Bieung Port was once closed due to the excess of soil sedimentation after the construction of Geumgang Estuary seawall. In addition, when the shores were closed off with the Saemangeum Embankment reconstruction project, a new port was in need and thus Bieung Port was repaired and reopened along with two other ports. Bieung Port in particular was constructed as a multi-functioning fisheries port so that it may be incorporated with the nearby attractions in the tourism business.

Udo Island is the largest of all the smaller islands near Jeju and where the sun rises before anywhere else. It is located at the eastern end of Jeju Island and a popular tourist spot that is always crowded with visitors as there are numerous things to see, eat and enjoy. The island is a bit too big to tour on foot so it is better to enter the island by car, rent an electric scooter or a small electric vehicle once on the island or travel by bus. Udo has two docks located at Cheonjin Port and Haumokdong Port. Cheonjin Port is the gate port into Udo with several electric scooter rental shops, so many tourists get off here. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes from Seongsan Port or Jongdal Port to Cheonjin Port.
