DOMOHEON, the former residence of the Busan Mayor, was transformed into a cultural space and opened to the public in September 2024. The establishment includes a cultural space, shared office, café, lecture hall, meeting room, and various other convenience facilities. It also features a living garden, which is the first living garden in Busan. In the past, it was also referred to as the local Cheong Wa Dae creating an authoritative image. There are two stories about how Busan's 415m high Geumnyeonsan Mountain got its name. One suggests that the mountain resembled lotus flowers and the other argues that Buddhists served Buddha with golden flowers.
