Stay Daro Pension is just 3-4 minutes on foot from Hajodaehaebyeon Beach in Yangyang, Gangwon-do. The pension has an unobstructed view toward the Hajodaecheon Stream, so that guests can watch the ducks and egrets play in the water. The interior is warm and welcoming, rooms are comfy and the bedding is soft and clean. In the yard is a barbecue area, and chestnut, persimmon, walnut, apple and cherry trees grow; beyond the yard, rice paddies stretch. Guests can  enjoy the emotive space.

The Hajodae Unmanned Lighthouse sits along a cliff with an old pine tree and overlooks the East Sea. Legend has it the name Hajodae came from the first sounds of Haryun and Jojun, two of the founding members of the Joseon dynasty who stayed nearby during one of their journeys.

The area is famous as a filming spot for the drama "Taejo Wang Geon (2000)." A walk along the cliff will lead to a white lighthouse near the bridge beside Hajodae Cliff. A number of tourists also visit Hajodae for the beautiful sunrises and the beam of light from the lighthouse that appears when darkness falls.

Located near Songjiho Lake, one of the most famous lagoons on the eastern coast of Korea, Songjiho Beach stretches 2 kilometers in length and is 100 meters wide. It is also located close to Seoraksan Mountain. The beach is quite popular, thanks to its clear water and shallow depth. The island just off the coast, Jukdo Island, features a handsome collection of bamboo trees and unique rock formations.
