Hapcheon Okgyeseowon Confucian Academy was built to store Yulgok Yi I's writings, "Gyeokmongyogyeol" and "Haedongyeonwonnok." Okgyeseowon was originally founded approximately 4 kilometers away from Hyangok-dong on the third year of Yeongjo's reign (1725) before it was closed due to the seowon abolishment policy by Heungseon Daewongun. On the sixth year of King Gojong’s reign, it was re-built about 200 meters away from the east side of the village. The academy is composed of a lecture hall, Sowonsa, Naesammun, Oesammun, Gwallisa and more.

Hapcheonho Lake (합천호)

Hapcheon Dam, located about 16 kilometers southwest of Hapcheon-eup, was completed in December 1988. It can hold 790 million tons of water and produce 234 million kilowatts annually. The lakeside road that runs from Hapcheon to Geochang after passing the dam is a romantic driving course reminiscent of Chuncheonho Lake or Chungjuho Lake, and the clean and clear lake with its beautiful surrounding scenery captivates vacationers on the road. It's a great place to enjoy a lakeside drive when the cherry blossoms bloom in early April.

Hapcheon Film Park (합천 영상테마파크)

Hapcheon Film Park is filled with a unique atmosphere and things to see in every alley, and has been used as a filming location for over 190 dramas, movies, and music videos set in the 1920s to the 1980s. Visitors can look around using trams, wagons, and more while they take pictures of every place. Behind the theme park are the nation's best bonsai park and a garden theme park that span an area of 150,000 ㎡. In addition to the main Cheong Wa Dae filming set, there is a bonsai greenhouse, an ecological forest experience center, and a wood culture experience center that can be enjoyed by both adults and children.

Gamaksan Wind Farm (감악산 풍력발전단지)

Gamaksan Wind Farm is a wind power complex located near the summit of Gamaksan Mountain in Geochang. The site, once a barren land, has been transformed into a flower garden with the planting of flowers such as Mother Chrysanthemum, Aster, Siberian Chrysanthemum, and Sliver Grass. It offers a panoramic view of Geochang-eup and Hapcheonho Lake. There are photo zones scattered throughout, providing excellent opportunities for photography. One of the main events is the Flower & Star Festival held in October. Visitors can enjoy vibrant purple asters and participate in programs like forest ecology experience and aromatherapy.

Hwanggyepokpo Falls (황계폭포)

As a famous attraction that goes well with the charming surrounding scenery: the stream flowing from Gujangsan Mountain is beautiful and the surrounding rock cliffs spread out like a folding screen. In addition to the scenery, the sound of waterfall plunging down from a 20-meter-high cliff is like roaring thunder. The amount of water may vary, but it never runs out, making one forget the heat even in the middle of summer. The lowest tier of the waterfall pool is so deep, that legend has it that a dragon had once lived in the bottom of the pool. Ancient scholars were so fascinated by the beautiful scenery that they often compared it to the famous Yeosanpokpo Falls in China.

Odosan Healing Forest (오도산 치유의 숲)

Odosan Healing Forest is nestled at the foot of the tall Odosan Mountain (1,133 meters above sea level) in Hapcheon. The mountain spans the areas covering Gajo-myeon in Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do and Myosan-myeon and Bongsan-myeon in Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. Odosan is at the end of the Gayasan Mountain Range along with Dumusan Mountain (1,039 meters above sea level), which is situated 2 kilometers to the northeast. North of Odosan Healing Forest, you will find Haeinsa Temple, home to the Tripitaka Koreana and one of the three major temples in Korea, as well as Gayasan Mountain, and Maehwasan Mountain. Hapcheonho Lake is south of the forest, so there are several tourist destinations in the area and the natural landscape is superb. The azaleas and royal azaleas are in full bloom in spring; cool valley waters can be enjoyed in summer; and the mountain's colorful fall foliage is as beautiful as that of Naejangsan Mountain, a renowned spot to enjoy autumn colors. You can enjoy mountain climbing along the valley surrounded by thick forests. It is said that Doseon, a well-known monk from the late Silla Dynasty, was fascinated by the energy and beauty of Odosan Mountain and practiced asceticism there.
Enjoying the Odosan Recreational Forest
Convenient facilities unfold along the valley within the Odosan Recreational Forest, such as the visitor information center, forest cabins, a communal kitchen, camp decks, campsites, etc. Notably, the hiking trail behind the forest cabins follows the clear stream that flows year-round, leading to Sukseongsan Peak, a small peak on the slope of Odosan Mountain. The trail overlooks Hapcheonho Lake and offers hikers a beautiful view. Odosan Recreational Forest consists of dense natural forests filled with pine and oak trees that are 20 to 50 years old. Also, a variety of vegetation, including the wild cherry, crimson glory vine (called meoru in Korea), and kiwiberry vine (called darae in Korea), as well as herbaceous plants can be found here. This makes it an ideal site for students, including teenagers, to learn about nature.

Sancheong Hwangmaesan Mountain (황매산(산청))

One of the last mountains of the Taebaek Mountain Range, Hwangmaesan Mountain is located in Sancheong, Gyeongsangnam-do. The mountain features fantastic rock formations and a beautiful vista from the summit that resembles arpricot blossoms. It is said that anyone who prays from the summit will have their wish come true, drawing in plenty of earnest hikers. In May, a large field near the summit is covered in vibrant pink royal azaleas. Attractions on the mountain include Bakjwigol Valley, Norubawi, Heundeulbawi, Janggunbawi, Chotdaebawi, Geobukbawi and Sinseonbawi Rocks among others.

Located at the border between Gahoe-myeon and Daebyeong-myeon of Hapcheon, Hwangmaesan Mountain has long been considered a guardian mountain of Hapcheon, but was rarely ever featured in hiking or tourist publications. Thanks to this, the mountain's natural environment has been kept in pristine condition. In 1983, the mountain was designated as a county park and now, along with Gayasan Mountain, it is regarded as one of the major mountains in Hapcheon. Hwangmaesan Mountain is one of the last mountain peaks of the Taebaek Mountain Range, and reaches an altitude of 1,113 meters. Pine trees and royal azalea decorate the rocky mountain. From the summit, hikers can see Hapcheonho Lake and Jirisan, Deogyusan, and Gayasan Mountains.

Hambyeongnu Pavilion (함벽루)

Included in Hapcheon's Eight Scenic Views, Hambyeongnu Pavilion was built in 1321, during the 8th year of Goryeo King Chungsuk by Hapcheon County Lord Kim. The location at the base of Daeyaseong Fortress, the pavilion offers views of Jeongyangho Lake on the Hwanggang River. The pavilion was visited by many poets, with writings from Toegye Yi Hwang, Nammyeong Josil, and Wooam Song Si-yeol hanging from tablets inside, and a rock engraved with "Hambyeongnu" in the handwriting of Song Si-yeol behind the pavilion.
Hambyeongnu is a 3-pillar wide by 2-pillar deep, 2-story pavilion, with an octagonal roof connected with a frame of five parts. The roof of the pavilion is famous in that when it rains, the water drips straight off the eaves and into the river below.

Yeonhosa Temple (연호사)

Yeonhosa Temple is located in Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. With its back to Hwangusan Mountain, the temple faces the Hwanggang River. Designated as one of the Eight Great Views of Hapcheon, the temple is surrounded by mountains with a cliff on its back. The view of the gently flowing river from Hambyeongnu Pavilion is relaxing, even on rainy days when raindrops fall into the river.
