Gapyeong Naengmyeon Buson is renowned for its Pyeongyang-style memil guksu (buckwheat noodles) served in a light, clear broth. The restaurant's signature dish is the siraegi deulgireum makguksu (buckwheat noodles with dried radish leaf and perilla oil). Siraegi, made from dried cabbage leaves or radish leaves, are rich in vitamins. When placed on top of memil myeon (buckwheat noodles) and mixed with deulgireum (perilla oil) and soy sauce seasoning, it creates a uniquely delightful flavor. Complementing this dish are side servings of yeolmu kimchi (young summer radish kimchi) and tangy mujeorim (pickled radish). Myeongjigyegok Valley stretches eastward from the summit of Myeongjisan Mountain (alt. 1,267 m), the second highest mountain in Gyeonggi-do. The entrance to the valley offers several convenient amenities, including restaurants, public restrooms, and accommodations. In the valley itself, clean water powerfully cascades over rocks. Forests line both sides of the valley entrance, and a trail leads to Seungcheonsa Temple. Myeongjipokpo Falls, nearly an hour's walk from the valley entrance, is just 7~8 meters high, but is extremely beautiful in fall.

Baengnyeonsa Temple is surrounded by mountains, as it is located off Yongmunsan, Myeongjisan, and Daegeumsan Mountains. On each side of the temple, one can also find Unaksan Mountain as well as Cheonmasan Mountain. In addition, just behind the temple are Chungnyeongsan Mountain and Seorisan Mountain.

This temple was built relatively recently, so the temple only has a few cultural treasures. However, as compared to the average temple in Korea, it is distinguished by its well-designed and refined architectures. The decorations in the temple are simple, with no overly vibrant colors nor complicated designs so as to help in seeking peace and inspiration.

The temple is also known for its hiking trails and beautiful scenery offered by the surrounding mountains.
