Located at the foot of Kalbongsan Mountain in Gapyeong, BROOK5 is a large-scale pension that offers 20 guest rooms of various types. It is gaining popularity with an outstanding surrounding landscape, modern interior design, and high-end facilities. BROOK5 offers pool villas and kid-friendly rooms as well as standard guest rooms. The guest rooms are available for two guests and four guests, which are ideal for couples and families. There are five pool villas which have private indoor swimming pools, and two kid-friendly rooms equipped with indoor jungle gyms for kids, baby bathtubs, kids tableware, milk bottle sterilizers, and toilet seats for kids. The rest of the guest rooms are standard guest rooms. Some rooms have whirlpool bathtubs where you can enjoy home spa, and some rooms don’t. So make sure to check the details before you finalize your booking. The guest rooms have self-contained kitchens with full kitchenware. Each guest room has a private barbecue room for a greater convenience. The biggest pride of BROOK5 is a heated water pool available all year round. The large 30 by 7 meter swimming pool is open to all guests. There are separate swimming pools for adults and children. Only the swimming pool for adults is available in winter seasons. Next to the swimming pools, there is a two-story cafe that guests can use while having fun in the swimming pools. There is a self-service coffee machine that guests can use. Right next to the swimming pool is the Dumilcheon Stream, which is a great place to swim in summer.

Saekhyeon Tunnel, spanning 423 meters in length, was first opened in 1939 and functioned as part of the Gyeongchun Line railway up until 2010. After the railway line was rerouted, the tunnel found a new purpose as a section of the Bukhangang Bike Path. It has also earned the nickname "Moss Tunnel" due to the moss that has grown around its entrances. The tunnel, especially known for its distinctive round entrances, has become a favored location for photography enthusiasts.

Gapyeong Station began operations upon the opening of the Gyeongchun Line on July 25, 1939. The station was damaged during the Korean War and restored on June 12, 1957. The double-tracked Gyeongchun Line was opened on December 21, 2010. The ITX-Cheongchun Train, which includes Gapyeong Station as one of its stops, began operations on February 28, 2012 and travels along the Gyeongchun Line.

Gapyeong's name was given by King Gyeongdeok of the Unified Silla Period to describe the region's natural beauty. Gapyeong and its tourist attractions, Nami Island in particular, grew in popularity after being featured in the Korean drama "Winter Sonata (2003)."

Located on Jaraseom Island, Nine Forest Ewhawon was renewed in 2015. The garden spans over an area of 33,000 square meters with a 1,090 square meter butterfly ecology center, making it the largest butterfly park in the world. The park offers live butterflies and butterfly specimens all year long through the use of a greenhouse. Visitors can look at exhibitions and learn about butterflies and plants with detailed explanations from professional guides. Jaraseom Island also offers camping sites and hosts various festivals.

The railbike tour departing from Gapyeong Rail Park passes through Gapyeongcheon Stream Iron Bridge, Bukhanggang Iron Bridge and Zelkova Tree Tunnel before turning back to Gapyeong Rail Park. Jaraseom Island Auto Campground has been in operation since 2008 with the hosting of the Gapyeong International Camping Caravan Competition. The campground is highly rated as the best campground in the Seoul metropolitan area, offering outstanding natural views of the Bukhangang River, and eco-friendly facilities. Jarasum Island takes its name from its view of a hill resembling a terrapin, "jara" in Korean. Comprising four smaller isles—Dongdo, Seodo, Jungdo, and Namdo—the island is being developed with leisure and ecological park amenities. Jungdo features a sprawling cultural park, centered around a lush grassy plaza that spans over 100 meters in diameter. Meanwhile, the west end of the Jarasum Campground is home to Ehwawon, a park designed to immerse visitors in natural ecology.
