Taehaksan Mountain is located south of the borders of Sucheol-ri, Asan; Samtae-ri, and Maedang-ri in Cheonan. The mountain is known for the Rock-carved Standing Buddha (Treasure No. 407), which displays typical patterns of Buddha statues from the Goryeo era. The mountain gets its name from its shape that resemble a dancing crane. Native flowers and trees are scattered throughout the mountain, and the park's dense pine forest makes this park a great family vacation destination.

Cheonghwajip is said to be the oldest sundae restaurant in Byeongcheon Sundae Street, having opened in 1968. There are only two items on offer: sundae gukbap (sundae and rice soup) and modeum sundae (assorted sundae). Sundae gukbap (sundae and rice soup) is a milky soup with tender sundae and meat, delivering refreshing and deep flavors. Sangsoo Herb Land is an arboretum which houses 1,000 species of herbs throughout its 82,645㎡ (25,000 pyeong) area. Situated at the foot of Taehwasan Mountain in Gongju, Magoksa Temple was established in 640. It is reputed to protect its occupants from war, and indeed, the temple survived the Japanese invasion of Korea (also known as the Imjin War; 1592-1598) and the Korean War (1950-1953). It houses numerous cultural heritage items, and visitors can participate in the Templestay program to experience life in a Korean Buddhist temple.

E-An Land Forest was established in 1999 when 1,836 arbor species and 1,418 herb species were planted on a land area of 1,118 hectares. The forest features a tropical garden and various other exhibition gardens, as well as thematic spaces like the Haneul Maru. The forest was finally completed in 2006. Inside the arboretum, there are various things to see such as the herb village, parakeet exhibitions, a pine tree garden, and man-made cave. There is also a mini golf course and an outdoor swimming pool. Visitors can also use the onsite pensions and the auto camping site for accommodation, making the E-An Land Forest a great place for family and group visitors.
