Hanok Story, on Hyanggyo-gil in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeollabuk-do, is a hanok guesthouse that harmonizes tradition with convenience. Each room is equipped with a toilet, TV and AC, and one room has cooking facilities. In the yard is a 50-year-old persimmon tree - the house’s tutelary spirit - and a cafeteria built of cypress wood. A must visit place for tourists in Jeonju, Ilrakdang Sarangchae is located in the middle of the traditional Korean house village of Jeonju. The very first of three enjoyments for noble man, as indicated by Menicus, the existence of parents and brothers with no troubles is what the place is named after. Pungnamheon is a hanok stay in a traditional nobleman's house in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do. Next to the house stands a 600-year-old ginkgo tree, the guardian spirit of Jeonju Hanok Village. Two unusual features of this hanok is that there is no wood-floored hall or daecheong, and the toenmaru wooden porch is extra wide, and has a window. The floors are finished with laquered hanji (Korean paper), and the roof tiles were made in Goryeong. Old folding screens and Korean paintings complete the atmosphere of a traditional yangbang house. Guests have a chance to taste wild green tea gathered and made by the owner.

Siwon is a timber and clay-built hanok stay, part of Jeonju Hanok Village in Jeollabuk-do. It has four guestrooms, all but one with a small attic - so guests can have fun climbing up and down the ladder! The rooms have all been insulated and draft-proofed to keep visitors warm and comfortable. Gaeunchae 2 is the sister hanok of Gaeunchae in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeollabuk-do. It’s a traditional red clay-walled hanok with ondol underfloor heating, exposed roof beams and hanji wallpaper and flooring - creating a beautiful and distinctive hanok interior. It has a small hallway which is good for storing luggage or just to sit and chat. In the garden are sculpted stone lanterns and tigers. Local attractions such as Jeondong Cathedral and Gyeonggijeon Shrine are a short walk away.

In Joseon times Yangsajae hanok stay in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeollabuk-do, was part of the Jeonju hyanggyo or local Confucian school - a place of study and scholarship. Later the poet Lee Byeong-ki lived and wrote here, and later still, in 1987, the house became a public elementary school. Since 2002 it has been a hanok stay dedicated to cultural tourism and promotion of local history and traditions.

Jeonju has been a major producer of quality hanji paper for more than a thousand years. In keeping with this proud tradition, the Jeonju Traditional Hanji Center aims to preserve traditional paper-making techniques and become a mainstay in the hanji industry. More than 80 percent of the paper produced at the center is exported to Japan while the rest is used in Korea. The center produces, exhibits, and sells hanji used for calligraphy, Oriental paintings, and crafts, as well as special “yellow earth” wallpaper hanji and charcoal hanji, said to provide certain health benefits. Visitors can also sign up for crafting classes, including first-hand experience at making hanji, imprinting patterns and drying the paper.

Seohak Art Village Library opened June 2022 in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do. The library consists of nearly 1,000 books, making it rather small. However, the library makes up for its size with pretty decorations, making visitors want to stay longer. The library is located in an old building that was previously a cafe and gallery, so the library feels more like a book cafe.
