Opened on October 14, 2005 by Seongnam Cultural Foundation, Seongnam Art Center is oriented towards cutting-edge performance and exhibition art, and serves as a local-friendly cultural site. The art center operates three performance halls (Opera House, Concert Hall, and Ensemble Theater) and three exhibition halls (Cube Art Gallery & Gallery 808, Bandal Gallery, Permanent Gallery). The center has hosted a variety of cultural events, from Korea's first introduced performances, Seongnam's original performances, self-produced works, region-friendly programs and other creative cultural contents. In addition, the art center operates diverse facilities such as Seongnam Media Center, Central Park Outdoor Performance Hall, Book Theme Park, International Musical Instrument Exhibition Hall and others for the community's enjoyment. Its varied projects support culture and art, including Sarangbang Culture Club which became a famous cultural brand representing Seongnam and established the foundation to communicate and enjoy cultural arts. Anyone can participate in the creative education program at Seongnam Media Center and Academy.

Gyeongui Line Forest Park is a linear city park located in Mapo-gu and is also called Yeontral Park. It includes Daeheung-dong, Yeonnam-dong, Saechanggogae Pass, Changjeon-dong, Sinsu-dong, and Wonhyo-ro, which were opened in this order. Gyeongui Line Forest Park is established atop the Gyeongui railroad line and the Gyeongui Line and Airport Railroad Express are constructed as a double track underground. Gyeongui Line Forest Park was designed to be incomplete on purpose to invite the citizens in completing the park. The area which could have been left empty and neglected has turned into a meaningful green park for the citizens by the citizens.

Situated on the southern part of the Hangang River, Yanghwa Hangang Park stretches between the mouth of Yeouido Saetgang Tributary and the Gayang Bridge in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. This spacious park is lush with vegetation and offers a spectacular view of the river.

The park is located nearby a number of other attractions including Seonyudo Park, an island in the river, which has been transformed into an ecological park; Seonyu Bridge; and the World Cup Fountains, with jets shooting 202 meters in x_height.

There is a wide bike trail that runs through the park that connects this park with the other Hangang River Parks. Every May, the bike trail is flanked by lush green grass and beautiful roses, making it the ideal photo spot.

Designated as a Historic Site, Taereung & Gangneung Royal Tombs is comprised of two tombs. Taereung Royal Tomb houses the burial mound of Queen Munjeong who was the second queen of King Jungjong, the 11th King of the Joseon dynasty, and Gangneung Royal Tomb houses the burial mounds of King Myeongjong, the 13th King of Joseon dynasty, and Queen Insun. King Myeongjong ascended the throne after his elder brother, King Injong, when he was twelve years old at Geunjeongjeon Hall in Gyeongbokgung Palace in 1545. The king’s mother, Queen Munjeong ruled behind the scenes, acting as guardian for eight years.
