Philkyungjae is a restaurant serving traditional Korean cuisine served in the royal courts of Joseon. Its course menu includes jeonbokjuk (abalone porridge), bossam (napa wraps with pork), sogogi japchae (beef japchae), tteokgalbi (grilled galbi patties), and hanu yukhoe (Korean beef tartare). There are five courses on offer. All five courses are available during lunch, while dinnertime limits the selection to three. The restaurant is housed in a traditional house and garden dating back to the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), so guests can enjoy the architectural beauty of Korea with Korean flavors. It was built in 1898 and was used to house various public organizations, like city halls, consulates, and cultural centers, before being turned into the Mokpo Modern History Museum in 2014. As a building that has survived through rapid changes, it is valued for its historical and architectural significance. The museum has an exhibition on Mokpo’s history, organized into seven themes, detailing the history of the production and exploitation of various goods during the Japanese colonial period (1910-1945), along with miniature recreations of the streets of Mokpo city at that time.

Danggogae Catholic Martyrs' Shrine (당고개순교성지)

Danggogae Catholic Martyrs' Shrine is located on the small hill just five minutes away from Yongsan Eletronics Market. 10 Catholics were martyred on this hill during the Gihae Persecution in 1839 including Choi Gyeong-hwan (Francis)'s wife Lee Seong-rye (Maria).

Nine of the 10 martyrs are now recognized as saints. Lee Seong-rye, the mother of Father Thomas Choi Yang-eop (Korea's second ordained priest), has not yet been canonized although she did suffer martyrdom. The reason was that the mother briefly put aside her faith because of the pressures of raising five children after she had her oldest son, Thomas. However, the difficulty of combining these two interests was eventually overcome and she died a martyr.

Aside from serving as a memorial site, Danggogae Catholic Martyrs' Shrine also offers a commanding view of Seoul. Nearby tourist attractions include Saenamteo Catholic Holy Place of the Martyrs, which is a Catholic church with Korean architecture, and Yongsan Family Park.

Namsan Seoul Tower was the first multipurpose tower to be established in Korea, effectively incorporating a sightseeing observatory into a broadcasting tower. For the past 40 years, Namsan Seoul Tower has served as an iconic landmark of Korea and a representative tourist attraction. The tower's observatory offers an unobstructed view of the whole city, allowing it to become one of the all-time favorite attractions of Seoul citizens as well as domestic and international tourists. Featured in many dramas and reality shows, it is also a fan-favorite destination. Another highlight of the tower is the Namsan Cable Car. The cable car began its operation in 1962, transferring passengers from the foot of the mountain to the base of the tower. Shuttle buses to the Namsan Cable Car from downtown Seoul are also available for visitors' convenience.
