Gyeongnidan Street refers to the 937-meter-long road from the main gate of MND Financial Management Corps to Grand Hyatt Seoul as well as all of the nearby streets and alleys. It is called Gyeongnidan Street because the Korean army's central finance corps, or Gyeongnidan in Korean, used to be located here, and has gained fame for presenting a different vibe than that of Itaewon despite being part of Itaewon-dong. Gyeongnidan Street is an area of culture and youth where people are able to enjoy diverse and special cuisine and dishes at unique restaurants and cafes. Although it resembles a typical neighborhood of Seoul, it features foreigners who have come from many different places around the globe living in natural harmony with Korean locals, which exudes a unique, exotic atmosphere. It is fun to walk along the various streets and alleys to discover novel and sophisticated shops.

This bakery in Seongsu-dong boasts a colorful and unique visual, and is gaining popularity for its “cruffin,” a hybrid of a croissant and muffin. The menu includes a variety of breads and desserts, such as canelé, pound cake, crumble, and mille-feuille, making it a paradise for bread-lovers. The courtyard of the building, which was remodeled from an old factory, has thick bushes and a small square pond, offering a unique view. The COEX Aquarium comprises 183 display tanks and 90 breeding tanks with 3,500 tons of water volume, making it a large-scale aquarium. It houses 40,000 sea creatures of 650 different species, exhibited in 16 themed zones. In particular, the highest number of sharks and the largest variety of species in Korea are living in this aquarium. Over 20 rest areas located throughout the aquarium, as well as an open-top water tank releasing anions make this tourist site in the heart of Gangnam a perfect healing place for local and international visitors.

The Yejiwon is located in Seoul Jung-gu Jangchung-dong and has been offering traditional Korean etiquette education programs since its inception on September 16th, 1974. Furthermore, the Yejiwon also serves to introduce the traditional cultures and living cultures of Korean etiquettes to foreigners.

Most programs offered are short-term classes, and reservations can be made on the homepage up to 15 days in advance. Reservations are only available for groups of 10 or more and classes are instructed in Korean only, so it may be a good idea to be accompanied by a guide.
