Это место служило гостевым домом в Квачхоне и был построено на 27-м году правления короля Инчжо из династии Чосон (1649 г.), а нынешнее название Ононса было присвоено во время правления короля Чончжо. 11 февраля 1790 года во время шествия к могиле своего отца принца Садо король Чончжо остановился в гостевом доме в Квачхоне и отметил: «Здесь прекрасные пейзажи и удобно отдыхать». Благодаря подаренной рукописной вывеске «Ононса» для постройки гостевого дома Сохон и «Пуримхон» (старое название Квачхона) для постройки Тонхон и появилось название Ононса.

Постройка Ононса, признанная материальным культурным наследием провинции Кёнгидо 2 июня 1980 года, была демонтирована и восстановлена 2 декабря 1986 года.
