Phare de l'île Yeongdo (영도 등대)

Situé dans le parc Taejongdae (arrondissement Yeongdo-gu à Busan), le phare de Yeongdo a été construit en décembre 1906 en faveur des bateaux dans les environs du port de Busan. Le vieux phare a été remplacé par un nouveau en 2004 alors que de nouveaux équipements ont été dévelopés, faisant du site une attraction touristique maritime de choix.

Le nouveau site établi (720m²) est composé d’un phare, d’une galerie d’art et d’une galerie d’histoire naturelle. Le phare blanc en forme de cylindre mesure 35 mètres de haut et son faisceau peut être vu sur un rayon de 40 km. Sur le rocher Sinseon Bawi à côté du phare, une trace de pas de dinosaure qui daterait de la période crétacé, a été découverte. L’empreinte , ainsi que d’autres artefacts, sont exposés dans une galerie d’histoire naturelle.
