Le Centre d'Animation de Séoul fut établi par la Municipalité de Séoul en mai 1999 avec comme objectif de fournir une aide complète à l'industrie de l'animation et du dessin animé de Corée. La salle possède 179 sièges et des équipements dernier cri pour la projection d'animations numérique et analogique. Elle est également équipée d'un son 5.1 et d'un écran large afin d'augmenter le plaisir des séances.
