La rivière « Baegmagang » signifie « le plus grand fleuve du Royaume Baekje », en référence aux 16 kilomètre de la rivière Geumgang. Beaucoup de sites historiques longent la rivière Baegmagang comme Cheonjeongdae (lieu de rendez vous pour les affaires nationales de la dynastie Baekje), Nakhwaam Rock, Joryongdae Rock, Gudeure, le pavillon Daejaegak, Jaondae Rock et le pavillon Subukjeong.
