Located in Deokdong Village about 40 minutes from downtown Pohang, the Pohang Traditional Culture Center consists of three traditional Korean buildings -- 'Lodge Building,' 'Cultural Training Hall,' and 'Food Experience Hall' -- and 'Guestroom Building' forming the shape of 'ㄱ' on an 8,251m² area. The hills surrounding the center create a cozy environment, and a grove of pine and fir trees right past the entrance adds to the beautiful natural landscape. Thanks to the clean air, you will be able to see stars in the night sky. The site originally belonged to an elementary school before being transformed into a cultural center as part of Pohang City's urban project. The center is managed and maintained by Pohang City Facilities Management Corporation as commissioned by Pohang City. As a place for learning and appreciating Korean culture in the natural landscape of Deokdong Village, which has a long history, it's now a popular field trip destination among schools. The Center offers various educational and character building programs designed to restore the traditional culture of Korea by providing students with an opportunity to learn their culture, including 'seodang (private village school that provided elementary education during the Goryeo and Joseon dynasties),' calligraphy, tea drinking, and ecosystem classes. Other programs include 'nanta (Korean traditional percussion instrument),' 'taekkyeon (traditional Korean martial art),' straw and Korean paper handicraft, and natural dyeing classes. The most popular program at the center is the traditional cooking class wherein participants get to make and try various traditional food items such as bean curd and rice cake. It's popular because the teachers/instructors use traditional recipes that many people think are fun to follow. Most of these are one or two-day programs and are participated in by groups of over 20 guests. Individual guests are also welcome to sign up for the program. The Guestroom Building has 10 guestrooms, each furnished with television, refrigerator, air conditioner, dressing table, and hair dryer for the convenience of the guests. Men's and women's bathrooms and shower rooms are in a separate building because they are shared among the guests. One of the biggest advantages of staying at this center is the reasonable room rates, which are fixed regardless of season and day (whether weekday or weekend). Moreover, there is no extra charge for additional guests in each guestroom. Paid breakfast is served at the cafeteria in the 'Experience Hall.' The breakfast is reasonably priced as well, not to mention delicious.

El Parque Marítimo Samsa se localiza al sur del puerte Gangguhang, con vistas al extenso Mar del Este. Gracias a su pintoresca belleza y variedad de instalaciones, el parque es un lugar agradable para un picnic de fin de semana. Las principales instalaciones son el Theme Land, Happy Land, una sala de espectáculos, restaurantes y tiendas. Incluso pueden encontrar una cascada artificial y una roca de 20 toneladas con motivos florales carvados  que añaden un elemento de belleza única.

En el parque se puede ver una gran campana llamada Gyeongbuk Daejong, que fue construida para celebrar el 100º aniversario del establecimiento de la provincia. Otra visita obligada para los visitantes de Gyeongsangbuk-do es la pagoda Manghyangtap, que fue creada por aquellos originarios de Corea del Norte. Cada día de Año Nuevo, tiene lugar una celebración con el toque de la campana durante el festival del amanecer para aquellas familias esperando la reunificación.

En enero de 2014 se abrió oficialmente el Canal de Pohang, en esa ciudad de la provincia Gyeongsangbuk-do. Conecta los barrios de Songdo-dong y Jukdo 1-dong. El canal artificial tiene un largo de 1,3 km, pero el tramo sobre el mar tiene entre 8 y 10 km. Toda el área se ha convertido en un parque para el disfrute de los ciudadanos y hay cruceros que recorren las aguas.

Jukdosan is a seafood restaurant, located in the middle of Daegaegeri in Gangguhang. It has a big aquarium for raising many king crabs and live fish on the first floor and artificial falls on second floor. King crab and raw fish are the main dishes. Rice mixed with the insides of crab is excellent. The side dishes are also delicious .

Jukdosan, a restaurant specializing in snow crab, is located in the middle of Daege (snow crab) Street at Gangguhang Port, Yeongdeok-gun. On the first floor, a large fish tank filled with snow crabs and fresh raw fish is on display, while the second floor gives off a refreshing atmosphere due to an artificial waterfall pouring down from the glass window. Main menus at this restaurant consist of braised snow crab and fresh hoe (sliced raw fish), with an option of fried rice and daege maeuntang (spicy snow crab stew). Accommodation facilities are also available on the third floor.

Puerto de Ganggu (강구항)

El Puerto de Ganggu es el más grande en Yeongdeok, provincia de Gyeongsangnam-do. El arroyo Osipcheon, famoso por ser lugar de pesca de pez dulce, va desde el monte Juwangsan en Cheongsong hasta llegar al mar por el Puerto de Ganggu. Es el principal mercado de cangrejos de las nieves (daege, en coreano) y al haber muchos puestos de venta de estos cangrejos, la zona se ha llevado el nombre de "Calle Daege". Recientemente, una gran escultura de un barco pesquero se colocó cerca del puerto, convirtiéndose en un punto turístico.

El Puerto de Ganggu ha sido lugar de grabación de varias telenovelas y películas y también famoso por su carretera serpenteada por la costa pasando por distintas comunidades pesqueras (Carretera N° 918, entre el Puerto de Ganggu y el Puerto de Chuksan).
