Abierto el 10 de junio de 1994, el Museo de Historia Marina Natural de Busan es el mayor museo de este tipo en Corea. Cuenta con unos 25.000 especímenes marinos de más de 100 países de todo el mundo, incluyendo especies vivas y especies nativas de Corea. El museo abrió una segunda sala de exhibiciones en abril de 2003 y estrenó el Museo de Aldeas Pesqueras Tradicionales de Busan el 23 de febrero de 2007.
