El Arboreto de Jeonju en la Corporación Coreana de Autopistas está ubicado en el kilómetro 170,38 desde el punto de partida de Suncheon de la autopista Honam y a 20 o 30 metros sobre el nivel del mar, un lugar relativamente cálido. Es un arboreto no lucrativo, administrado por la Corporación Coreana de Autopistas, y está abierto a todas los visitantes de forma gratuita. Cuenta con 200 familias y 3576 especies de plantas y está conformado por 12 jardines temáticos, tales como el jardín general, de rocas, de hierbas, de humedales, de malezas, de rosas, de flor mugunghwa, de bosque de bambú, de material de enseñanza, de árboles de la zona sur, de invernadero de vidrio, de torrente montañoso, etc. En el jardín de hierbas crecen más de 450 especies de hierbas medicinales naturales de los montes de todo el país y se utiliza también como centro de práctica de estudiantes de medicina tradicional y farmacología. En el jardín de malezas, único del país, se encuentran más de 260 especies de malezas que crecen en arrozales, sembradíos, huertas y campos. El jardín de árboles de la zona sur recolecta y expone plantas que crecen en regiones isleñas y la pared de madera del sector norte de 15 m de ancho bloquea el viento del norte en la temporada de invierno, ayudando a los árboles de esta zona a pasar bien el invierno.
