Nonjinmul (논짓물)

Nonjinmul is a natural beach created as spring water flows into the sea, causing seawater and freshwater to meet. “Nonjinmul” means “just throwing away the water” because the spring water rises up close to the coast and cannot be used for agricultural or drinking water. Currently, a large amount of freshwater flows into the sea, and it has an embankment, pools, and showers, making it a popular swimming spot. In the summer, the Yerae Eco Village Experience Festival is held here, where visitors can enjoy various memorable experiences, such as catching olive flounder with one’s bare hands. Nonjinmul is part of the Jeju Olle Trail Course 8. Yerae Coastal Road, stretching out next to it, is an excellent driving course where one can enjoy the seascape. It is also great to stop by Nonjinmul while enjoying trekking or driving. However, the waves are strong outside the saltwater pool, so caution is needed to avoid accidents.

Manor Blanc is a café that features a beautiful garden adorned with hydrangeas in summer, pink muhlies in fall, and camellias in winter. Hwasun Golden Sand Beach is surrounded by beautiful nature. It is close to Sanbangsan Mountain and the Yongmeori Coastline, and the islands of Hyeongjedo, Marado, and Gapado are off the coast to the southwest. On one side of the beach is a fresh water spring where people can enjoy a freshwater bath.

The beach is located in Hwasun-ri in Andeok-myeon, which is easily accessible and has accommodations, shops, and restaurants.

Nandreubadang specializes in Jeju black pork, which offers soft yet chewy meat and a light taste compared to regular pork. Customers can taste grilled black pork while admiring the fantastic ocean view; many people visit this restaurant just for the sake of the meat, despite the lack of famous tourist attractions nearby. For a basic serving of 2 persons, 600 grams of Jeju black pork is served with red-banded lobster soybean paste jjigae. Steamed eggs and corn cheese served outside the meat grill are also delightful delicacies. They also sell prawns that can be grilled with black pork and the seasonal conch skewers.
