Monkfish is a type of fish known for its tender and chewy texture and in Korea it is often cooked by braising. Monkfish, bean sprouts, and other vegetables are stir-fried with red chili paste-based sauce, creating a dish that brings alive the tender texture of the monkfish and the crunchiness of the vegetables. The restaurant serves pike eel dishes made with pike eel caught by the owner, and from late April to early November, it serves gaetjangeo shabu-shabu, also known as “hamo yubiki.”
