Deungseon Falls (Samaksan Mountain) (등선폭포(삼악산))

Samaksan Mountain in Chuncheon is known for many waterfalls in different sizes along the gorge, and especially Deungseon Falls is the best known to tourists. By entering the hiking trail of the falls, you will encounter a narrow and deep gorge. Formed through quartzitic jointing, the gorge has a mysterious atmosphere with its strange rocks and bizarre stones, which look sharp and precipitous. As the gorge and falls keep their cool temperature, the area is a popular summer resort. Deungseon Falls is one of the Eight Sights of Deungseon, along with Seunghak Falls, Baengnyeon Falls, and Biryong Falls. The quickest way to get to Deungseon Falls starts from the Deungseon Falls Ticket Booth, which is close to Gangchon.

Gapyeong Sledding Hills (가평사계절썰매장)

Located in Deokhyeon-ri, Sang-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, Gapyeong Sledding Hills is close to Jojongcheon Stream and clean valleys. It operates water sledding hills during summer and ice sledding hills during winter to give a fun experience to children. Spanning the area of 9,780㎡, it is comprised of varied slopes, moving walkways, snack bar, restaurant, resting area, changing room, shower facility, outdoor swimming pool for children and adults, shaded shelter and other subsidiary facilities. It is the sole leisure experience area for families located in the metropolitan area.

Cheongpyeong Lake (청평호반)

Cheongpyeong Lake is an artificial lake that was formed with the construction of Cheongpyeong Dam in the Bukhangang River. Surrounding mountains and lake landscapes blend together harmoniously creating breathtaking views and is fast becoming a choice destination in Korea.

Near Cheongpyeong Lake there is an amusement park as well as numerous summer homes. On the nearby lake, one can enjoy water skiing and a host of other recreations. In addition, accommodation is also available making this destination a famous vacation spot all-year-round. Around Cheongpyeong Lake, there are a total of 30 boating areas for water skiing, motor boats, jet skis, banana boats, and various other water activities. All instrument rentals and lessons are also available.

Gapyeong Begonia Bird Park (가평베고니아새정원)

The Gapyeong Begonia Bird Park offers a healing space in the pristine environment of Gapyeong, featuring both outdoor and indoor gardens, a Bird Park with rare species of birds, and various interactive experiences. The indoor garden includes a flower zone, an infinity zone, and a bird zone. Visitors can appreciate beautiful flowers such as begonias, take stunning photos with the mirror media façade and various photo zones with floral backdrops, and see rare birds in the Bird Park. The three-themed outdoor garden showcases seasonal flowers that bloom throughout the year, along with a mystery garden and a water garden, making it a perfect travel destination in any season.

Mogok Bambeol Recreation Area (모곡밤벌유원지)

Mogok Bambeol Recreation Area is a popular spot for summer vacationers. Nestled between the picturesque Palbongsan Mountain and the crystal-clear Hongcheongang River, it offers an ideal setting for camping, water activities, and fishing. The shallow waters near the area provide a safe environment for children to play. The site is open for public access at no charge, and visitors are permitted to cook on-site. Equipped with amenities such as restrooms and a convenience store, it's a popular choice for campers.

d.forest (강아지숲)

d.forest is the largest dog park in Korea at approximately 99,173 ㎡. It has various attractions to enjoy, together with visitor's pet dog, including museum, walking trails, playground and more. The museum focuses on the theme of human and dogs living in harmony. The museum provides pet waiting room for owners to enjoy the exhibition without distraction. Various walking trail courses are available with age and physical condition of the dog in mind. A large and small playground where dogs can play without leashes are available as well as a cafe with drinks for dogs, market and more.

Yeoninsan Provincial Park (연인산도립공원)

The source of Yongchu Falls, Mount Yeoninsan (연인산) stands at 1,068 meters above sea level and features soft terrain and beautiful scenery. Local folklore has it that those coming to the mountain wishing for true love will have their dreams come true.

The soil of Mount Yeoninsan is fertile, offering a great natural environment for a variety of flowers and trees. Numerous types of wild flowers thrive from early spring to late autumn. The trail connecting Mount Yeoninsan with mounts Myeongjisan, Cheonggyesan, and Gwimokbong remains relatively unspoiled by human influence: cooking and camping in the area is strictly forbidden. All the mountains in the trail are over 1,000 meters high. A defining feature of Mount Yeoninsan is the royal azaleas that bloom in late May. The County of Gapyeong celebrates the royal azalea by hosting the Mount Yeoninsan (Natural Ecology) Festival in May of each year.

Also ideal for hiking, Mount Yeoninsan offers a number of trails: one starts from Buk-myeon in Baekdun-ri, one from Mail-ri, and one from Yongchu Valley. With a minimum of climbing, hikers can take in a variety of scenic views, ranging from the bloom of the royal azaleas in the spring to the beauty of the changing leaves in the fall.

Muljoeun Barge (물조은빠지)

Muljoeun Barge, nestled along the Bukhangang River, boasts instructors with an impressive average of 15 years of experience in water sports, making it an excellent place for learners.
Despite its modest size, the facility is well-appointed with amenities like shower rooms, changing areas, and toilets, complete with the convenience of towels and hairdryers. A shop is available on-site offering snacks and refreshments. The space is neatly arranged and fully furnished with lounging areas and sunbeds, providing a peaceful setting for family or friends. Beyond classic activities such as water skiing, wakeboarding, and mono-skiing, the center also features a variety of playful water equipment, allowing visitors to fully engage with the natural environment and enjoy splashing around in the river.

Myeongjisan County Park (명지산 군립공원)

Standing at 1,267 meters above sea level, Myeongjisan Mountain is the second highest mountain in Gyeonggi-do after Hwaaksan Mountain. It is a popular destination all year round, as it offers plenty of resting areas with splendid views of the surrounding nature.

In addition, Myeongjigyegok Valley, spanning 30 kilometers, is a great outdoor picnic spot, while the trail from Sangpan-ri to Ikgeun-ri is the most preferred hiking trail on the mountain.

Uiamho Lake Skywalk (의암호스카이워크)

The Uiamho Lake Skywalk is set along the lakeside trail of Uiamho Lake. It features a floor entirely made of transparent glass, offering visitors the unique sensation of walking on water.
