Baengnyeonsa Temple is surrounded by mountains, as it is located off Yongmunsan, Myeongjisan, and Daegeumsan Mountains. On each side of the temple, one can also find Unaksan Mountain as well as Cheonmasan Mountain. In addition, just behind the temple are Chungnyeongsan Mountain and Seorisan Mountain.

This temple was built relatively recently, so the temple only has a few cultural treasures. However, as compared to the average temple in Korea, it is distinguished by its well-designed and refined architectures. The decorations in the temple are simple, with no overly vibrant colors nor complicated designs so as to help in seeking peace and inspiration.

The temple is also known for its hiking trails and beautiful scenery offered by the surrounding mountains.

Nakta, situated at the base of Dobongsan Mountain, is a bakery café renowned for having the country's largest variety of salted butter rolls. The café's name, "Nakta," draws inspiration from the two peaks of Dobongsan Mountain and the Korean word for camel (Nakta). Along with the other great mountains near Seoul, Suraksan Mountain has its own unique beauty throughout the year. Its cluster of small peaks is reminiscent of Seoraksan or Wolchulsan Mountains and among its valleys and peaks, a number of treasures unfold. These include Geunnyu, Eunnyu, and Ongnyu Waterfalls, Heungguksa, Naewonsa and Seongnimsa Temples, and Gwesanjeong Pavilion.

One of the most popular hiking courses on Suraksan Mountain is the one that starts from Danggogae Station (Seoul Subway Line 4) and passes Hangnimsa Temple and Yongguram Hermitage. In the springtime, the ridge between Suraksan Mountain and Buramsan Mountain is covered with gorgeous royal azalea blossoms.

Yeoncheon World Camping Experience Zone is a pension-type accommodation located in Hantangang Tourist Complex, in Jeongok-eup, Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do. It is separated into Imjin Pension Area and Hantan Pension Area by road. The former has 5 buildings, the 1st, 2nd, and the 3rd being a 4-person unit, the 4th being a 6-person unit, and the 5th being an 8-person unit. The 4th is the only two-story building in the complex. Hantan Pension Area likewise has 5 two-story buildings with the same arrangements. 4-person units have 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom each, while the 6-person and 8-person units have two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All buildings have a detached outdoor deck, outdoor table, and parking spaces. 4-person and 6-person units have one parking spot each, while the 8-person units have two. Cooking utensils and kitchen equipment are available in the unit, but guests must bring their own toiletries. Up to two reservations per day can be placed by one person. There are multiple discounts available, such as regional resident discounts and multiple-children family discounts. The swimming pool is open in July and August only.
